Congratulations to the Sweet Talk Award Winners 
 
The inaugural Sweet Talk Awards were launched this year to provide the opportunity for people with diabetes to Share their success stories, Celebrate their achievements and Inspire others who may also be affected by the condition.
 
Everyday Australians have submitted their inspirational stories, of how they or someone they know has achieved success despite living with the obstacles of diabetes.
 
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this years Sweet Talk Awards. 
 

The Sweet Talk Award winners for 2011 are:
 
Young Achiever of the year - Thomas Zambon
Teen Achiever of the year - Damien Goodman
Adult Achiever of the year - Gavin Wright
Senior Achiever of the year - Sue Scudds
Carer of the year - Dirk Wasmann
Healthcare Professional of the year - Michael Wakim

10 July 2011 – Nominations open at 12am (Diabetes Week)
31 August 2011 - Nomination period closes at midnight
01 September to 10 October 2011 - Judging Period
10 Oct 2011- Finalist Profiles appear online. Public voting period opens
23 Oct 2011 - Public voting period closes
14 November 2011 (World Diabetes Day) - Winners announced



Winners receive a Sweet Talk Awards Trophy and a $1000 RedBalloon™ gift voucher**.

* All entries and finalists stories, as well as all their variations become and remain the property of Roche Diagnostics (RDA). RDA reserves the right to change prizes to the same value and to mediate the decision on finalists and/or final winners, if necessary. All decisions are final.
**excludes the winner of “Health Care Professional of the year”, who will receive a trophy and an educational grant towards attendance at a relevant national or international conference, valued up to $1000
